HOTS
Every semester, a hall/area council is dubbed the winner of the HOTS competition. The Hall of the Semester (HOTS) wins a grand trophy, but, more importantly, they win bragging rights. The HOTS points each hall/area council earns are recorded throughout the semester and tallied up at the very end.
There are several ways to earn HOTS points. They are listed in the chart below:
Submitting events to CIO via e-mail*
(PRIOR to when the event will take place)
5 points
Event Reports
(submit via website AFTER the event has taken place)
10 points
Selected OTM and proof sent to CIO
20 points
Full Senate Attendance
(excused absences and proxies included)
5 points
Full Attendance at Committee Meetings
(excused absences and proxies included)
5 points
Executive Board Office Hour Visits
(MUST inform CIO)
10 points
Proxy for Executive Board Members in Meetings
(MUST inform CIO)
10 points
Special Events Attendance
20 points

In order to earn the 5 points, be sure to include your name, your hall council, the name of your hall's event, when the event will take place, and a brief description of the nature of the event.

Note: Only members of the Hall Council may submit HOTS points information, preferably the VP of Communications.
