Committees
RHA has six standing committees (DSAB, ReLATe, TAC, ReFAB, SCOM, DIACom). Each committee works closely with the director of the corresponding department to discuss problems and legislative solutions.
Purpose: The Dining Services Advisory Board’s (DSAB) is a committee that collaborates directly with UMD’s Department of Dining Services. DSAB’s core mission is to strengthen/incrementally improve the dining experience across UMD’s campus.

Purpose: The Diversity and Inclusion Action Committee (DIACom) is a committee that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging in residence halls through inclusive programs, initiatives, and policies.

Purpose: The Resident Facilities Advisory Board (ReFAB) is a committee that collaborates with the Department of Residential Facilities. ReFAB's main purpose is to bring student perspective to projects relating to residential facilities in order to better our community.

Purpose: The Resident Life Advisory Team (ReLate) serves as a liaison between students living on campus and the Department of Resident Life. It strives to improve life on campus and to better the overall residential experience students have at UMD through advocacy, collaboration, and on campus initiatives.

Purpose: The Sustainability Committee of Maryland (SCOM) facilitates sustainability initiatives on campus! SCOM is responsible for many events and RHA legislation promoting awareness for the natural environment and the ways UMD students can help contribute to keeping the environment and campus clean and healthy.

Purpose: The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) that works with UMD's Department of Transportation Services. TAC is currently focused on three main initiatives, subject to change:
Initiative I: Improving bicycle infrastructure on and around campus
Initiative II: Improving pedestrian safety and infrastructure
Initiative III: Improving bus reliability, quality, and frequency
